Honolulu, Hawaii based UX Designer with 3 years of experience crafting digital products for Japan.
I discovered my passion for design early—I was always the one in group projects obsessing over fonts, spacing, and layouts. What started as jailbreaking iPhones to customize interfaces evolved into a career when I met a UX designer at a high school career fair who shared how her work improved lives in developing countries.
I studied Graphic Communication with a User Experience/User Interface concentration at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Post-graduation, curiosity led me to Japan—despite growing up in a Japanese household, I'd never lived there. After three years working for Japanese companies, I moved to Hawaii where I currently practice design.
My experience spans both Western and Eastern design approaches, with strengths in attention to detail (honed by Japanese work culture), rapid learning, and cross-functional collaboration. I believe in shipping fast and iterating based on data and user research—a trial-and-error approach that leads to better solutions.
When I'm not designing, you'll find me training Muay Thai or catching waves.
