Background
Flatier operates business salons that host networking and professional development events. The organization was struggling with event management limitations while using Facebook's native event features. Their events typically had venue capacity constraints and required precise attendee management to ensure optimal experiences for participants.
The existing Facebook event system created several operational pain points:
Events couldn't be capped at specific numbers, leading to overcrowding issues.
No clear tracking of participation order or waiting list management.
No way to provide different access levels for paid vs. free members.
Problem Statement
How might we enable Flatier to effectively manage event capacity and provide differentiated member experiences for their business salon events?
UX Goals
Enable precise capacity control, clear attendance tracking, and transparent waiting lists to eliminate overbooking and improve operational efficiency.
Establish tiered access levels and participation rights that provide value-added benefits for paid members while maintaining engagement for free users.
Bonus: Create a comprehensive ecosystem that combines event management with social networking features, fostering ongoing communication and engagement beyond individual events.

① Display the number of remaining seats for each event - Set precise attendee limits with automatic cutoffs for all events.
② Waiting list functionality - Transparent queue system for overflow registrations.

Tiered Access Control - Customized viewing permissions based on membership level.
